I never like Kathy Redfern, because was an idiot ruining the midsection of 10cc's serious pop ballad, "I'm Not in Love" by telling Eric Stewart to be quiet in a disruptive manner for no reason at all and started to annoy that midsection with her stupid, annoying, repulsive, distracting big-boys-don't-cry interlude to cause an outrageous commotion that spoiled up the song like this: I cannot stand that racket going: Big boys don't cry Big boys don't cry Big boys don't cry Big boys don't cry Big boys don't cry Big boys don't cry 'cause it's way too much, that ruined the heartfelt tune. I don't like it. I hate it. Believe me, that's not part of the song; it's way out of line and it's out of the question.  That was mistakenly done by short-lived whisperer Kathy Redfern. Now look what she did in the middle of 10cc's "I'm Not in Love". She destroyed the midsection by whispering the negative and wrong words that made no sense like this: Be quiet, big boys don't cry Big boys don't cry Big boys don't cry Big boys don't cry Big boys don't cry Big boys don't cry Big boys don't cry

Sorry to tell that on that song by 10cc, "I'm Not in Love" she never had a singing voice. She was unable to sing. She never wanted to sing a duet with anyone. She couldn't sing harmony with anybody else or sing backup. That's why she was tone-deaf, so she wanted to do a lot of evil whispering to the ruin the midsection after Lol Creme's solo piano playing just to interrupt the song in a disruptive manner with her annoying, repetitive, distracting big-boys-don't-cry interlude that never had what it took. She never sang the backup vocal lines: "It's because", "Ooh, you'll wait a long time for me" and "Ooh, you'll wait a long time". Instead she mistakenly whispered the agressive way that didn't match the song like this: Be quiet Big boys don't cry (distracting echoes of her last line when segueing into the rest of the song, "I'm Not in Love")

  Do you remember that spoiled-up, outrageous ‘big boys don’t cry’ commotion that made a mess in midsong on 10cc’s massive 1975 hit “I’m Not In Love”? Well whatever happened to that short-lived so-called spoken-word artist? Maybe the question is what short-lived spoken word artist as that vocal was recorded by the then Strawberry Studios Receptionist Kathy Redfern (although some internet sites have her surname as Warren). The song went to number one in the UK, Canada and Ireland and was taken from their 1975 top 5 album ‘The Original Soundtrack’. It was the second of the band’s three UK number ones. The others were “Rubber Bullets” in 1973 and “Dreadlock Holiday” in 1978. OK Kathy if by some wild stretch of the imagination you, or someone who knows you, is reading this post I would love to interview you for this blog.
